I thoroughly love the realistic water tones in this photo. I think that part is rather excellent. I personally would have minorly fixed the water's hues to eliminate or greatly lessen any green hues (to leave primarily just blue ones). It would make focusing on the animals much more enjoyable and easier. The unappealing off-blue hues (greens) seem to really distract and take away from this image.

Furthermore, to increase the viewing quality of this shot it would have been a great idea to adjust the warmth of the focus of the image. Understanding the background is entirely made up of cool tones, it would greatly help the focus of this image if you increased the warmth/general saturation of the animals significantly.

If they had significantly warmer hues and were saturated to contrast the cool background, viewers would be captivated by the animals. The overall image would be much more appealing and very enjoyable to look at.

Something else I would have done is cropped it different. I would recommend allowing more to be seen on all sides of the image- just a little bit on the bottom, and *significantly more on the rest of the sides (but I love the water line being near the bottom - that is excellent).

To be honest it would greatly emphasize and complement the center focus of the image if there was more appropriate framing... being the cool-hued waters. It would be gorgeous and eyes would be much more easily captivated by the focus of the image and appreciate the animals better (due to the contrasts).

Additionally I would have contrasted/darkened the noses, the one on the right especially. It would increase the photo quality and would be less distracting as well.

(And with adjusting the saturation of the animals I would be careful with leaving the teeth out so they stay the original hues. You just want to adjust the majority of the animals to contrast and complement the background here.)

Apart from all of that, this angle is truly perfect; this is such a special shot capturing natural candid beauty. Like your other pieces, the water detail is wonderful as well.

Ultimately, adjusting your technique would have greatly brought out higher quality and a more powerful impact that would make the visual impression and appreciation incomparably enhanced. But just some minor changes and you have an extraodrinary piece of art with visuals that would do this wonderfully captured shot greater justice.
